Amazing bit of 2019 footage this.

Frei doing a great job of trying to hold Farage to account as he and Nathan Gill go walkabout.

And I suspect Farage will come to regret his quip at the end about Russians if it does the rounds again.

France’s president declared in July that the nearly 1,000-year-old, 70-metre-long wool-on-linen artwork, which depicts William the Conqueror’s victory over King Harold II of England at Hastings in 1066, would cross the Channel next year. That’s good to know, however, this isn’t mentioned in the article so not entirely a misplaced criticism.

Sounds good but I’ve missed the bit about how. There’s no mention of a proper salary. The key reason young people from ‘lower socioeconomic backgrounds’ can’t intern in most industries is that their parents can’t fund them to work for nothing.

Yesterday my train from Brest to Nantes broke down, and do you know what SNCF did? They texted me to tell me I was going to miss my connection and they had booked me on a later train at no extra cost. Included an updated e-ticket and all. Incredible!

One name stood out in 1890s women's cycle racing: Belgian Hélène Dutrieu. Winner of multiple track cycling titles including the world championship, the Course de 12 Jours, & the Grand Prix d’Europe, she was cycling's first female superstar. But that was only the beginning.🧵
