Utterly amazing book. I highly recommend it.

Somehow i have evolved into a maker of many things: Baked goods, plants, mysteries and stories.
Utterly amazing book. I highly recommend it.
04.07.2025 03:03 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0In the books, Yenn knew about the wish. She heard him speak it and even questioned its sense. It was very transparent. I think I mentally checked out after that.
29.05.2025 19:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0With Netflix canceling The Witcher after season 5, I'm seeing a lot of people asking where it went off the rails. Honestly, for me it was Season 1, Episode 5 " Bottled Appetites" where producers decided to take Yenn's consent away to further plot drama between she and Geralt.

15.05.2025 15:06 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0There's simply no ethical way to support Harry Potter in 2025. It's not possible. $0.20 from every dollar you give JK Rowling goes directly to physically harming a trans person and that's not a joke or an exaggeration.

16.04.2025 16:53 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't just want trans friends to regain lost rights. I want them to live. I want them to thrive. I want them to endure to old age and dance on the graves of the wretched who made it their life's mission to spread hate against them.

16.03.2025 19:44 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting. I'm reading "An Offer from a Gentleman" AKA Bridgerton book 3 and it's basically regency Ever After ....so Cinderella.
Oddly enough I vividly remember wanting to punch Baroness de Ghent in the face. Now I vividly want to punch Araminta in the face.
Hey, artists, in case you were wondering if your work matters: I'm a scientist working on climate change and biodiversity, and I would not be who I am today without The Lorax, The Secret of NIMH, Watership Down, The Last Unicorn, and The X-Files. I know I'm not alone. Thank you for all you do.

08.01.2025 20:11 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I would have loved to see that in the TV show. Also wondering why they dramatically altered Anthony and Kate's story π€ You can read the point where the story shifts and it kind of threw me.
08.01.2025 20:10 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I'm half way through The Viscount Who Loved Me(AKA Bridgerton book #2) and I'm really enjoying it
Having watched the tv show, and now read the books, I can say, I get why they went with a more dramatic take for the tv show. However, the streak of humor in the books is one of the best parts.
One of the best things about buying my husband a 3D printer for Yule is the fact he now presents me with macabre trinkets. It's incredibly sweet, like an AdΓ©lie penguin presenting its mate a pebbleβ₯οΈ

02.01.2025 14:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Heading into 2025 like:
31.12.2024 21:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0December 24th & 25th:
What better way to end this then with "A Christmas Carol." by Charles Dickens? The quintessential Christmas ghost story and an utter classic.
December 23rd:
"Christmas Eve in Beach House" by Eliza Lynn Linton.
Is this a Christmas story? Not really. Is it a depressing story? Definitely.
The first two books of 2025 have been chosen! Technically its three stories because the Bridgerton volume has books 1&2 but that may be splitting hairs.
23.12.2024 04:49 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0December 22nd:
"Wolverden Tower." by Grant Allen
My favorite story so far! Very well written and blends Victorian England with Pagan customs/the occult.
December 21st:
"Nicodemus" by Alfred Crowquill
First off. Crowquill is an epic last night.
Secondly. A corrupt priest. Shock and horror there folks.
December 20th:
"White Satin." by Anonymous
The love of a wife is a thing to behold.
December 19th:
"The Steel Mirror." by W.W Fenn
Another good example of a forerunner. Also.... Not a smart idea to leave your sick spouse alone at Christmas.
December 18th:
"Haunted." By Coulson Kernahan.
Don't murder people. Bad idea. Just...don't.
December 17th
"Walsham Grange" by E. Morant Cox
Do you know what's worse than ghosts?
Real freaking people living in the walls. Hard no.
Be honest. What book do you own that you've gone through multiple copies of?
Mine is IT by Stephen King. I've worn through two copies and I'm well into my third. I've probably read it a dozen times and I started another read through tonight.
December 16th
"The Weird Violin."
Lesson of the day: Don't buy a violin that loons like a screaming face and expect it to end well.
