They’re planning on building a detention center for migrants in the middle of the fetid swamps of Florida.

If you think this is something new, the first internment camp they sent me and my family to in 1942 was a barbed wire prison called Rohwer. It was located in the swamps of Arkansas.

We did as we had a minor one in the late 80s. I think epicenter was southern Illinois. They were the most rare drill though.

Kids These Days I grimace at the thought that I have become one of those “old people” I once railed against. Those who mean well but have no real concept of the challenges young people are living with today.

With Mother’s Day behind us and well into Mental Health Awareness Month I have some thoughts on kids these days and how we ended up raising a generation plagued by anxiety.
