A Crested Caracara - a large carrion-eating falcon with bare pink face, blueish grey bill, black crest, pale yellow neck, throat, and tail, with wide, black wings with flight feathers tipped in white - flying, backlit with golden morning light in front of a slightly out-of-focus background of forest and houses.

I also got to see the Crested Caracara yesterday morning before work! It was feeding on a carcass stolen from Turkey Vultures and being mobbed by crows. I was able to get one decent shot of it before it flew away 🪶

I 3D printed and painted this Owlbear plushie model for a friend who's been going through a hard time in their life.

Baldur's Gate 3, D&D, and friends have been some of their outlets so this seemed like the perfect small gift to remind them that they have friends who care.
