Keep trying! I got blocked on my desktop, then got through on my phone, where it would allow me to select tickets, but then said none available. Gave it one last try on the phone using mobile data rather than wifi, and got 4 standing tickets.

Great weekend at The Malle Beach Race on the little 100cc Kawasaki G4. Didn't cover myself in glory, but had a great time!

Going to see Lambrini Girls in Birmingham with my daughter, where she is at Uni. They are bloody brilliant!

I left a couple of months ago. I do miss some of the biking posts, but there things that are more important.

Saw them in Oxford in 2022, and they were fantastic. You should try Lambrini Girls.

Just took the G4 to Thame to get an idea of average speed for a possible trip up to London. 37mph average, and on the way back I got 60.5mph top speed, with maybe a bit more to go. The run up Brill Hill on the way home (to see how it would fare up the Chilterns) was pretty slow going!

Took advantage of a brief respite in the weather to get the VTR out. Roads were crappy, and had to ride through two floods, but still good to be out. Bike all cleaned up and tucked away until the next chance.

Now that’s nice!

Wish I was doing this, rather than preparing my Mac for an HDD swap. 🙄

I love riding bikes, looking at them, working on them, thinking about them. Truly the best therapy there is.

I’m from near Lakenheath and Mildenhall originally, and a few of the girls from my school married USAF personnel, and moved to the States.

Now there’s a sentiment I can get behind, although I’m fairly cool on country flags full stop. But then I am a cynical Brit.

SPACED!

Looking through photos for my Bluesky header image, I remembered this gem from when we came across Stoners winning bike in a Cotswold art gallery! The manager let us have a sit, and it was surprisingly comfy. Certainly looks better than the current bikes

It’s the Bugatti Circuit, and there are around 50 bikes. The racing is mad enough, but ‘the jungle’ campsite is utterly insane!

Nice! Went for the 24 hour bike race this year. Mad experience!

Didn’t post much on the ‘other place’ but might try to be more proactive here. I’ll start with an artwork I did to celebrate Fraser Nash winning the 2L category in the 1953 Le Mans 24.
