Ever seen a freshly molted cicada? I found this superb dog-day next to its left-behind molt casing in the gutter splash block by my wildflower area. Cicadas are vulnerable after molting while their new exoskeleton hardens and wings unfold. I put it in a safe space so it can harden and continue on! 🌿
