The way we design our streets makes it nearly impossible for Americans to see walking as transportation or bikes as anything other than toys for kids or weekend fun.

Cities should be aggressively identifying excess asphalt in urban spaces and converting it into green space. It cuts the heat island effect and removes maintenance costs from the books.

It’s fiscally responsible and climate action all in one.

Cargo bikes, the SUVs of the bike world, can blend into the urban fabric rather than dominating it.
