I’ve never understood why there are not more bikes in use in post apocalyptic movies, and disaster films. That will definitely be my go to mode of travel after the fall of civilization. ( It is my go to mode now, as well)

A sculpture of a man who came to Toronto during the Irish famine with trees and Toronto skyline in the background. The image is taken at Ireland Park.
Yes, Ireland Park. Seven of these figures in Dublin, and five by the same artist in Toronto, the difference represents the lives, lost on the crossing. The view from the park is very different today with the trees maturing.

When I disembarked at Bramalea GO and walked along the train to the stairs I saw that there was a bike couch in this train set.

I think it would be better for all passengers, not just those with bikes, to provide this information to people travelling with their bikes.
I cannot understand GO Transit’s reluctance to provide this information

I have repeatedly requested that GO provide this information and have been told by the Twitter Kitchener Line account that they will pass the request along. Nothing has changed in the years that bike coaches have been available.

There is not time to comfortably walk the length of the train to discover whether or not there is a bike coach available

After the platform was announced, I carried my bike up the stairs and then a considerable distance down the platform to the first coach. Because there was room on this couch for my bike I boarded.

There is no information available on the screens in the station, on the platform, or on the website, to indicate whether or not a train will have a bike coach.

I used the 19:04 train with my bike from Union to Bramalea GO on Thursday night. I boarded from the York Street end. The platform is announced only 10 minutes before the train leaves.

I can’t find it again. I screen capped that comment, but didn’t
otherwise interact with the post so it’s not in my history.

I think you can drag them to the right spot, but I was using phone photos so I haven’t tried that

Yes. And you can upload up to 25 at a time

I chose felt because I simply chose the 23 images from an album in my phone uploaded them all at once and they appeared in the right place on the map. I’m not aware of Google Maps having that functionality.

We went from two cars to one in 2008 when we had four kids aged 4-11, and my husband was WFH. We rarely missed the second car.
Infrastructure is key for anyone but the Strong and Fearless, but even as one of the Strong and Fearless, I appreciate the infrastructure

I’ve done a lot of riding Kitchener Waterloo and love it. I’ve just realized that never blogged about it, though. I’ll have to correct that at some point.

I live in Brampton, which has made progress over the last decade, but is so far behind Hamilton, that Hamilton is a treat despite its flaws.
I wonder if Main and King will become two way with the LRT construction
I seem to recall that one way parts of Wilson are going two way
