I have a little bit of time spare (lying), so I thought I'd open a few slots (as long as you can bear the mystery of whether I remember how to draw).

How.. where.. do people take commissions these days?? (I haven't used commiss.io in so long that I don't know if it's still a thing; vaguely understand ko-fi; and am an absolute moron and keep misreading v-gen's (excellent) 'human artist' policy as meaning 'artists who draw humans' so I'm at a loss)

For the sake of clarity; sexism, racism, fascism, nationalism, homophobia, transphobia, colonialism, apartheid, pro-birth, military power, and all adjacent right-wing ideologies are a form of weakness I do not tolerate. If you're a conservative, then block me and move on. You don't belong here.

I realize I never actually know how to place text in images, or the colours that work well as backgrounds, or how to pair fonts, and i Know there has to be a better way than like. vibes-based graphic design HAHA Q_Q;;

Not sure how to word this question (and yet we persevere): does anyone have any favourite resources or suggestions for learning things about colour and visual design -- not necessarily drawing, I suppose, graphic design in general? 💜

His face is pulled into an (attempted) polite grimace.

HEY. So.. I spend most of my time studying nowadays and, before starting my tertiary education, I used to stream while taking notes.

I don't know if this is something literally Anyone would be interested in, but is that something you might like to see again? 🥼

Four side-by-side square illustrations of characters belonging to myself, The Christoph (TheChristoph), Seaside-Chee (SeasideChee), and Shark-Cat-SG (SharkcatSG). They are drawn on the same base and in the same pose: grinning with their paws up, utensils held in one or both. A dish is placed in front of each character: a hearty slice of lasagna, a honeycrisp apple, a platter of sushi, and Hainanese chicken rice, respectively. The food is rendered, steaming or sparkling, in a style slightly more realistic than the cutesy, rounded appearance of the characters.

The picture almost appears corrupted: A sanguine red overlay colours much of Darkroom's body, as well as the distant skyscrapers, whose windows glow red through the distorted view.

– and Google Calendar's color blocking is super nice by itself, BUT I use an extension ("Google Calendar Event Checker") that I love for this sort of thing! (just takes the deceptively simple step of putting a tickbox next to events :D)
