Some of the books she squirreled away were math books… but still.

Smol human #1 had a birthday today. We gave her an oversized blanket poncho with a kangaroo pouch big enough to fit many books. The transformation to teenage bookworm is nearing its final stages.

Also… bonus is getting to hear a sled dog in the background request very politely yet insistently to be let out.

Another rejection - this time for a short story. But it was the good kind of rejection! The editor said they reread it multiple times just because they could… the ending just didn’t fit the anthology’s vibe.
