If it turns out Solanke has a long term injury then swap Kinsky back in. But the decision needs to be made before midnight tonight as I understand. Hope they have the full picture on Solanke by nowโ€ฆ

Xavi is an AM also covering LW. At the same time Brennan is now being used as LW. Tel and Odobert also LW.

Kudus is now the only left-footed option ready to play the inverted RW position (Until Kulu is back. And Gil moving on).

A left-footed AM/LW like Akliouche or Elliott would be my next target!

I put my seat on the ticket exchange for most games, cup matches incl.

Living abroad I only travel for 3-4 games per season.

So it means a lot with a full stadium and better chance of selling the seat.

High profile games helpsโ€ฆ

But in general great football and wins helps the most ๐Ÿ˜Š Letโ€™s hopeโ€ฆ

No, thatโ€™s pretty average home games.

Most, perhaps all, without a full stadium.

Not too bad with the Away games. Bodรธ/Glimt away is the longest travel, but we have done it before.

PSG, Frankfurt and Monaco away as well.

Would have liked more โ€œbig gamesโ€ with all the star players. But this is a nice draw for progessing to the knockout phase ๐Ÿ’ช

UCL home games against Dortmund and Villareal from Pot 1 & 2 are not the most spectacular / high profile games unfortunately.

Slavia Prague and FC Copenhagen home games as well from pot 3 & 4.

12 points at home?

Commentators said this magnificient victory against Man City was the first away victory in the Premier League since 22nd of February against Ipswich ๐Ÿ‘€ Nice way to reset that statโ€ฆ

Great work effort all around (loved Kudusโ€™ intensity tracking back when Doku came on), and another clean sheet ๐Ÿ’ช

Thatโ€™s a pretty strong Spurs bench ๐Ÿ’ช

Great options to change things up in the second half.

Odobert or Tel for Johnson.

Bentancur and/or Palhinha in central midfield.

Solanke if Richy gets tired.

Danso to rest Van de Ven a bit.

โ€ฆThe full-back positions are the most vulnerable right now.

3-5-2 ?

Savinho talks confuses me a bitโ€ฆ

But apparently he played mostly on the left wing for Girona, in a very succesful season.

Perhaps s Son replacement?

We also get rotation for Kudus on the right.

We still need a specialized number 10.

Brennan will struggle even more for minutes if Savinho joins.

Bissouma is missing. Will either take up the last non-homegrown spot, or be in the unregistered column.

Looks like heโ€™s up for sale in any case, so that could be the reason for leaving him off the list.

We need new quality players in, so Frank will have some difficult UCL squad decisions to make ๐Ÿ˜ณ

I would like an update โ˜บ๏ธ

Still, my view: We canโ€™t let UCL restrictions stop us from buying. Need depth for the 3 domestic competitions.

Senior players will be left out of UCL. Too badโ€ฆ

Dragusin, Madders, Deki, Biss, Davies, Gray? Takai? Brennan? Richarlison?

Depending on injuries and incomingsโ€ฆ

08.08.2025 09:48 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Eze would be great and could also be an option on the left, supporting our french 20 year old talents.

I would hope for a second number 10 as well. Left-footed to support the right forward line. F.ex. Elliott, McAtee or Paz.

Two number 10 signings like that would offer a lot op options.

Would like to have seen Kudus in the number 10 role, at least for a part of the Bayern friendlyโ€ฆ

Perhaps heโ€™s fine with no european games in a World Cup year?

Fresher legs, and less risk of injury.

ManU will have a better chance in the league with no european games, to qualify for europe following season.

I donโ€™t know. Just trying to find a reason as it seems a strange choice for me too.

I found out by accidentโ€ฆ and Iโ€™m a very unsuccesful FPL manager โ˜บ๏ธ

Perhaps other FPL managers out there can give you advice, whether this formation change is an advantage or not? (and Iโ€™ll listen in).

05.08.2025 13:04 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

You can also change to a 3-5-2 and have more midfielders in the starting 11.

First you substitute a defender for your midfielder on the bench. Formation change is made.

Afterwards you transfer in a real midfielder instead of the defender.

Downside is you will have two defenders on the bench now.

No mention of the European Super League, which is something Neville is passionate about.

Must have been agreed beforehand. That topic was off the tableโ€ฆ

Found it interesting learning more about the stadium- and local projects though. And the politics/history around the english โ€œfootball pyramidโ€.

Itโ€™s fascinating reading about Kudus and his journey.

Listened to a podcast featuring @christianwolny.bsky.social with insight about Kudus as a teenager in the Right to Dream academy in Ghana, and with FC Nordsjรฆlland in Denmark.

Some interesting (positive) details about Kudusโ€™ personalityโ€ฆ

Enjoyed this @ohsospurs.bsky.social video on Palhinha. Focus on strengths (โ€ฆsince heโ€™s here).

From 5:45

Very tenacious and finishes the action. Meaning he either wins the ball, breaks up play, or commits a foul. Thereby preventing teams from getting flow and rhytm.

Fewer defensive blips.

It now looks like two France U-21 starlets competing for the left forward position ๐Ÿ˜Š

With different strenghts which is nice.

If Richarlison stays he can do a job on the left as well if needed.

Same way Tel can do a job as a striker if Solanke and Richarlison are out.

Gives a lot of flexibility.

I know Kudus is more quiet and doesnโ€™t have a big following yetโ€ฆ

My prediction is he will become an absolute superstar and either achieve great things with Spurs, or get a move to f.ex. Real Madrid in 2-3 years time.

Weโ€™ll see โ˜บ๏ธ

I have great hope, and believe his star status will rise rapidly ๐Ÿ“ˆ๐Ÿ’ซ

Thanks for all the beautiful memories Heung-Min Son ๐Ÿซถ

What a legend. 10 years of pure footballing genius.

And such a great person, always putting smiles on peopleโ€™s faces ๐Ÿค

*Perhaps more than 3 to be left out of the UCL squad.

Itโ€™s a presumption based on players like Bissouma, Davies and perhaps Son moving on.

And injuries to Dragusin, Kulusevski (or new injuries) keeping a couple of players out.

The UCL limitations should not stop us from getting the needed depth.

01.08.2025 10:19 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

When Solomon and Gil leaves, and with Palhinha counted, we still have 3 open spots for domestic comps (all the players u-21 the reason).

In my opinion we need to fill all spots in the 25-man domestic, itโ€™s still 3 competition.

3 senior players have to be left out out of europe. Awkward. So be itโ€ฆ

01.08.2025 10:08 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Making a new signing like this could help move other plans along though.

If f.ex. the club wants to move Bissouma out, but heโ€™s reluctant, then signing Palhinha could show Bissouma that there is limited game time, and no room in the UCL squad.

So his team will start working towards an exit.

01.08.2025 09:04 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

This is what I hope for as well. Palhinha is a different profile added to the squad.

I donโ€™t want him to be the first player on the team sheet thoughโ€ฆ

If we experience big injuries in central defence, Palhinha could be useful for shielding a weaker defence as well.
