Quakers first British church to state belief that genocide underway in Gaza At their annual gathering this weekend, Quakers in Britain became the first British church to state their belief that the Israeli government is committing genocide in Gaza.

It took the Quakers this long to finally come up with this, and they are still the first among the Churches. Munther Isaac has a lot to say about the Churches’ cowardice in Christ in the Rubble. There is no Christian theology that can possibly justify genocide.

The USA has a hard fascist right wing, a center right liberal wing, a center left progressive wing. What Americans call “progressive” is laughed at around the world, for it is so relatively centrist and reasonable. Wanting healthcare for all is not an extreme position. It is basic sanity.
