Hi from GB. Privatise Mail? Don't do it!!! Royal Mail was split off from Post Ofiice (the shop front for gov services) and recently sold off to a Czech oligarch. The service is now ridiculously expensive and post gets lost or takes ages. Terrible service.

Ironic that reducing pollution in shipping seems to have accelerated global warming. The reduction in clouds since the introduction of cleaner shipping fuels has been shown by satellite data too.

Remember Blair fully supported Bush (a republican president) in the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Apart from Poland (not in the EU at the time) no other European country sent combat troops.

Not to mention all the extra CO2 generated during construction - a vast area in a highly congested part of the country.

From gov.uk

From gov.uk

This table certainly shows the cost of other European and G7 countries from the gov.uk website.

But will that actually translate into lower energy prices in the UK. We have the highest energy prices (by far) in the G7 thanks to our perverse pricing mechanisms.

This clearly needs sorting out. As both a teacher (retired) and a parent I can see both sides. There needs to be more of a partnership between parents and schools.
Some learners may benefit from a break - but for some the loss of a key part of curriculum could have serious long term disadvantages.
