Absolutely that was part of it. The hunter trial. Which made the whole camp David thing so sketchy. His whole term, Biden bragged about how hunter is not a part of the administration but then takes him to camp David to discuss "reelection strategy."

They had been telling him to step down for months in closed meetings. It was only when they made those comments public that put pressure on Biden. He even went to camp David with his wife and Hunter and they came out agreeing he should continue to run. Which was a sh*t show in itself.
