The @ec.europa.eu outlined strategic steps to prepare Europe for extreme military contingencies.

Now, the ball is in the Member States' court.

Their actions will be crucial in turning this ambition into reality, requiring, above all, a significant increase in defence spending.

Occupiers are not welcome.

Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and Poland will withdraw from the Ottawa Convention on Anti-Personnel Mines.

We will use all necessary means to deter, defend our territory and freedom while upholding international humanitarian law.

3/ Make no mistake—this isn’t just about Georgia. This is about Russia trying to reclaim what it sees as its rightful sphere of influence.

For EU states, this should be a clear signal: they must support the Georgian people.

2/ Let me remind you: in 2020, democratic Belarusians were accused of protesting for money. The same Kremlin narratives are being used again.

Just as the Kremlin propped up Lukashenko, it now supports Ivanishvili. Russia is pulling the strings of Georgian Dream.

1/ If anyone still thinks the street protests are just a local fight between the opposition and the government, this Russia’s intelligence statement proves otherwise.

This is direct Russian involvement in backing Ivanishvili.

My take from Tbilisi:

Georgian people's fight for freedom is a vital part of Europe's resistance against Russia's aggressive imperialism. I urge the capitals of EU member states to recognize this.

By supporting Georgia, we are helping to preserve a strong and united EU.

Constructive discussions with Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Yerevan.

Europe stands ready to enhance cooperation and support Armenia's development.

A productive meeting with the President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

The @europarl.europa.eu's delegation expressed the committment to deepen EU's engagement with Armenia. 🇦🇲🇪🇺

War criminal Putin is having a fantastic week.

We have no clue how the so-called 'peace agreement' will play out or what’s next for the war.

But one thing’s clear: Putin is getting legitimized, his atrocities conveniently forgotten.

Is the rest of the world fine with this?

8/ The future of Georgia must not be decided by a small elite group under Russia’s influence.

The Georgian people deserve a government that respects their will for a democratic, European future.

7/ We urge the @ec.europa.eu to swiftly redirect the frozen EUR 120 million, originally intended as support for the Georgian authorities, to Georgia’s civil society, particularly the non-governmental sector and independent media.

6/ We call for stronger measures from the EU and MS, particularly from the EU-25 (sans🇭🇺and 🇸🇰):
- individual sanctions against Bidzina Ivanishvili and his network of enablers
- review of the EU-Georgia Association Agreement
- overview of the visa liberalization regime

5/ The EU must make any future engagement with Georgia explicitly conditional on setting a new date for parliamentary elections and ensuring they are free and fair.

4/ The EU’s response to Georgia’s democratic backsliding does not reflect the severity of the situation.

Stronger, urgent action is needed to prevent Georgia from slipping into authoritarianism, like Belarus.

The only solution to the crisis is new free and fair elections.

3/ We refuse to recognize the legitimacy of the appointed “president” and continue to recognize Salome Zourabichvili as the only legitimate representative of Georgia.

We urge the EU MS and international organizations to refuse legitimizing the GD regime and demand new elections ASAP.

2/ designed to tighten control and ramp up penalties for various offences directly targeting protesters, critics, and political dissent.

These actions are an attack on fundamental freedoms and violate Georgia’s core international obligations.

1/ Just now @europarl.europa.eu voted on a resolution on the further deterioration of the political situation in Georgia.

We strongly condemn the recent developments, including police brutality, detentions, torture, political violence, and new draconian legislation [cont]

Europe’s future is fundamentally tied to Ukraine’s fate. 🇪🇺🇺🇦

We need a clear Ukrainian victory plan - now!

There will be no strong, competitive Europe without a free Ukraine and a defeated imperialist colonial Russia.
