I checked to see the discipline of the research/er. It's political science making 'cultural'--and seemingly causal--claims with quantitative data. Which, fine, but I think we might take a closer look at the methods and the theoretical frameworks here

That this woman has done incalculable damage to the position of women in journalism is both a fact and a sign of how fucked up a society founded on misogyny (male supremacism) is and why "representation" isn't enough.

No one will say RFK's behavior is a sign that men can't be trusted in politics.

also, heritability isn't the same thing as genetics; wealth is highly heritable, that doesn't mean there's a "has a lot of money" gene.

So one, this is sliding into eugenics. But two, they canโ€™t do that. Theyโ€™re lying if they say they can. โ€œIntelligenceโ€ is not a single gene trait you can test for in an embryo. These are quacks making false promises to make money from peopleโ€™s fears about parenting

CDC subject matter expert: presented that data in September on specific asks. Data within first 24 hours at birth asked - so they excluded some studies.
Part of that review - used standardized, reproducible methodology following GRADE criteria. Some studies excluded since bad.

Malone: what are the risks with these products - and there are multiple - based on the data.
Blaxill: evidence is limited.
Malone calls him "internal CDC".
Turns to subject-matter room.

Levi on benefits: question - what is the number needed to vaccinate related to preventing one case of chronic hepatitis B?
There's a reason experts don't use it. And remember: right now, we vaccinate all infants.

We need experts on this committee.

Levi and Malone are showing, clearly, their bias is leading them.

That might be why this ACIP did not invite any hepatitis B expert to present.

Malone shuts Messnier's correction down again. Levi can speak, but not Messnier.

Messnier: there is no evidence of harm.

Retsef Levi: not right question. Need to ask hypothetically would we detect the harm.

But there are multiple real studies. They just don't like what they actually show. It's a vaccine used for decades.

Risks of hepatitis B vaccines - Messnier points out - fever, fatigue are not encephalitis.

Malone is trying to shut up the correction of misinformation again.

Dr. Meissner, one of the few vaccine experts left on #ACIP: takes strong issues to each presentation. Comments for each. So many statements I don't agree with. Dr. Cynthia Nevison: conflated serology and protection - untrue.

04.12.2025 14:48 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 20    ๐Ÿ” 7    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 3

Dr. Messnier: waning antibodies does not mean no protection. There is cellular immunity. No single case of hepatitis B in someone who was vaccinated.
On global basis more people have chronic infection from Hepatitis B than tuberculosis, HiV, malaria. 1/3 of world carrier.

04.12.2025 14:50 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 18    ๐Ÿ” 5    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Hepatitis B went down thanks to vaccine policy.
Malone: your opinion.
Messnier: these are facts.
Rate given for U.S. low, but even with this rate, number is high - lots of people. Birth dose - safety net for mothers who were missed. Important.

Dr. Malone thanks Blaxill and Niven for their balance, integrity, rigor and work ethics.

Done with working group. Acknowledges there is no hepatitis B working group, it's in childhood/adolescence schedule workgroup. Members still not listed.

List of studies.

List of studies.

Mentions Verstraeten 2003 (that when published found no link between thimerosal in vaccines and autism).
Only studied that found an issue - by Geiers, known for bad science and for abusing autistic children (and lying about it).
Blaxill: "none of them are perfect".

Vaccines and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) Because the incidence of SIDS is the same in children who do or do not receive vaccines, we know that SIDS is not caused by vaccines. The ABC news program 20/20 aired a story in 1999 claiming that the hepatitis B vaccine caused sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS). The story included a picture of a 1-month-old girl who died of SIDS only 16 hours after receiving the second dose of hepatitis B vaccine. At the time of introduction of the hepatitis B vaccine for routine use in all infants, about 5,000 children died every year from SIDS. Within 10 years of the introduction of the hepatitis B vaccine the use of the vaccine increased to about 90 percent of all infants and the incidence of SIDS in that group decreased dramatically to about 1,600 cases each year. The cause of the decrease in SIDS cases was the introduction of the โ€œBack to Sleepโ€ program by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).However, since immunizations are given to about 90 percent of children less than 1 year of age, and about 1,600 cases of SIDS occur every year, it would be expected, statistically, that every year about 50 cases of SIDS will occur within 24 hours of receipt of a vaccine. However, because the incidence of SIDS is the same in children who do or do not receive vaccines, we know that SIDS is not caused by vaccines.Find out more:Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS)SIDS: A Parent's Worst Fear Has Nothing to Do With VaccinesReferencesYang YT and Shaw J. The authors examined fatalities reported to VAERS in the United States during a seven-year period and found that reports peaked in 1992-1993 and then declined, with nearly half of the deaths attributed to SIDS. The trend in decreasing SIDS rates correlated with the 1992 American Academy of Pediatrics recommendation for infants to sleep on their side or back and the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development โ€œBack to Sleepโ€ campaign in 1994. The authors concluded that these data support findings of past controlled studies showing that the temporal association between infant vaccination and SIDS is coincidental and not causal.Griffin MR, Ray WA, Livengood JR, Schaffner W. AJDC 1985;139:991-994.The authors evaluated the effects of DTP immunization on the ventilatory pattern during sleep in infants at increased risk for SIDS, including those with unexplained apnea and those who were siblings of SIDS victims. Overnight pneumograms were recorded the night before and the night following DTP immunization. The authors found that DTP immunization did not increase abnormalities of the ventilatory pattern in infants at increased risk for SIDS.

Reminder: we have a lot of evidence that vaccines do not cause SIDS. www.chop.edu/vaccine-educ...

Blaxill wants to read in a signal that isn't there, as the authors point out.

"Interesting potential signal" in study that apparently authors did not think was there, according to Blaxill.

Assessed SIDS rate, 8 in vaccinated, 0 in unvaccinated - note: they started with deaths and then matched to unvaccinated. "Potential signal" - not really.
