31.01.2025 12:13 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0@jrf-uk.bsky.social(JRF) has released the UK Poverty Report 2025 and the findings are bleak.
With increased inequalities, insufficient social safety nets, and unacceptable levels of poverty for children and persons with disabilities, the UK must strengthen its social security system.
In our work, we often talk about "extreme poverty", but it's also worthwhile to consider the other end of this spectrum - extreme wealth.
Whether that's wealth according to the global metric or localised inequalities, this blog's suggestion of an 'extreme wealth line' is quite provoking!
