Putnam County NY towns of Carmel and Southeast ban solar farms and battery energy storage sites that could lower electricity prices. Meanwhile, this ugly data center is built without so much as a peep.

This sort of “economic development” makes the big box debacle up the road look quaint.

I’m late to this post, but I’d also like to thank you for your work as a doctor treating trans children AND for speaking out publicly. We’re so fortunate to live in a state that supports trans medical care. I can only imagine what other parents and especially their kids are up against.

This is my 7th winter with heat pumps and I couldn’t be happier. Hitting a new low of -8ºF (photo taken at -6), our heat pumps kept us toasty in our well-insulated home.

Most people don’t know this: Heat pumps REDUCE gas consumption even if running 100% on electricity from a gas fired power plant.
