The Democrats have some leverage here, and voting for the CR takes that away, essentially laying down for the extreme agenda the Republicans hope to pass.

A vote AGAINST the Republican CR isn’t a vote to shut down the government—they’re in charge and need your votes.

But a vote FOR the Republican CR is a vote to allow Elon Musk to continue shutting down the government and nullifying the role of Congress.

It doesn't put pressure on the Democrats,it forces the Republicans to negotiate in good faith. Why vote for funding we oppose?
