Last year I lost my mom Dec 20. This year has been filled with grief, devastation, and uncertainty. Yesterday I heated up tamales from a local business and ate cake from a local small baker, enjoyed the people I love, and my cat who is the size of a two year old. it was a good day, and I’ll take it.

I work in animal sheltering, and we often get toy donations and play the “dog toy, or sex toy?” game!
