The company I work for paid tens of millions of dollars to install the equipment to burn coal for our industrial process. It caused so much buildup in the equipment and premature wear that it was abandoned shortly after it was commissioned. Who wants coal? No one who's used it.

When I worked at the local nursing home, the catholic ladies would come to "help" the old folks vote. I actually heard one of them ask if Truman was running. "Just put your check right here, dear" was the reply. What a sham.
