Gratuitous dog photo. We call this Pepper's "love seat" because it's where she sits when she wants to be loved on.

I WFH and would love to be able to do exactly this, but I also know that my wife, my child, and my dog in an RV would make working impossible. Some kind of house swap arrangement would work, but it's doubtful I could find someone who wants to live in my MI company town, even temporarily. 🤣

This sentiment is a little ridiculous coming from B&N, but it got me thinking... I love the smell of books and will often start a book by taking a good whiff of it. Maybe when I was single, my go-to move should have been to sniff every attractive woman before talking to her. I'll try that next life.

I have an Indian cookbook with a recipe that calls for 30 cloves of garlic and 30 dried chilis. It's SPICY, but phenomenal.

Sharing poop content seems like a reasonable way to assess the extent to which my followers share my values...

~5 very good songs and I like the production, but I find the overall flow to be odd, particularly Mercy as an album closer. Even just moving Valdese to the end would be a solid fix.

Breaking the rules on this one... I found The Goldfinch to often be unnecessarily pretentious, but the story was well conceived and Boris is such a great character and so similar to some people I've known IRL that this had to make the list.
