By his third year starting, Rivers led the league in YPA and TD passes, while that HOF RB was already washed up, averaging under 4 yards a pop.

Rivers then led the NFL in YPA in the next two years as well

The Chargers’ lack of success was due in large part to their subpar at best supporting casts.

This is simply untrue of Rivers on itself, but it’s funny to say this when comparing him to Herbert because Rivers had a lot more meaningful moments by this point of his career than Herbert has.

Also, Rivers and that 2018 Chargers team that are being discussed specifically were phenomenal.
