I will applaud this game one thing, I have played many great fmv games with bad acting, but never a mediocre fmv game with amazing acting.

Neil Newbon and Jane Perry are way too good for how mid this game is. Some jaw-droppingly good acting shoved into a mediocre puzzle game. It's cheap indie horror Mulholland Drive, which is a shame cause this could have been more.

Meanwhile the other gameplay element is combining pieces of live action footage to discover new secret scenes as you try and uncover the story of what happened to these actors under this abusive producer

I say this cause the FMV stuff is really intriguing and I'd rather spend more time with that than what feels like generic indie horror game puzzles. You know the ones, a sudden spotlight on a bloody crib and there's a baby crying. The crib has the key! OOOH SPOOKY.

Kind of wishing this one had gone full Sam Barlow and just let us play around with footage of great actors to uncover the story rather than hunting for...pieces of a trident on a statue for some reason

Playing Dead Take and it's like there's a really good FMV interactive narrative game shoved in between some bad jumpscares and silly puzzles
