TRUMP: Uh huh
MAMDANI: And breaking down barriers? Reminds me of a certain Broadway show *smiling widely* where they worked together to break a barricade?
TRUMP: *sitting bolt upright* Phantom
Knowing a run is about to bad in Sultan's Game so you just draw as many cards as possible and go on a murderfuck spree so at least you can get more fate points for the next run

21.11.2025 22:21 β π 3 π 1 π¬ 0 π 0Everyoneβ¦ I just need to rent a place to replace our tent. My family has fallen very sick because of it, Donβt forget us even with the ceasefire itβs an illusion to divert attention from us. Our suffering has worsened, the situation is extremely dire and Iβve lost everything except my trust in you.

21.11.2025 19:31 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0It is so frustrating talking about the Trails franchise when I am recommending them as a jrpg
"Yeah there are five incredible games and then the series gets taken over by a harem anime protagonist who refuses to leave"
There is no opposition party.
21.11.2025 17:46 β π 107 π 33 π¬ 1 π 0Every time I see something about Ted Lieu, I feel like I need to mention heβs on the House Direct Selling Caucus, the congressional lobbying group for pyramid schemes.
So of course heβs against socialism
This kind of thing is bad news in its own right, but the fact that it's happening entirely because people hate autistic people so much is always an extra twist of the knife.
21.11.2025 16:53 β π 76 π 39 π¬ 0 π 0While yea Gavin & Tanner are fools worthy of ridicule, their fantasies must still be viewed in the context of every modern challenge Haiti faces; that the entire west set aside every difference to blackball Haiti from trade & ensure its poverty as punishment for refusing enslavement & dehumanization
21.11.2025 16:49 β π 63 π 18 π¬ 5 π 0Of course, the "suits" resented this. Core to their view of the world, then and now, was that they tend to come from more elite backgrounds. They believed they should naturally be in charge, and if denied that in the wider society, should definitely control queer and trans communities...
21.11.2025 16:08 β π 134 π 15 π¬ 1 π 0In a pattern that will become familiar any actual action on the "suits" part came only after their attempts to gatekeep and shut down radical organizing failed. These were elites conceding out of fear, not sunny collaboration, because at heart liberation and assimilation are not the same goals...
21.11.2025 16:05 β π 175 π 32 π¬ 3 π 0Were the radicals accused of "infighting," being "unproductive" and all the other terms for "you don't know your place"? Yes.
But it worked. Most of the homophile orgs folded. More militant organizing became the order of the day. Even less radical orgs got a lot more confrontational...
A segment from Donn Teal's "The Gay Militants" where Mattachine higher-ups propose an "amicable and sweet" meaningless protest post-Stonewall, and queers shout them down, proclaming the need to fight for their rights "if it takes riots or guns" and "all the oppressed have got to unite! The system keeps us weak by keeping us separate" "Again and again, Dick Leitsch (the Mattachine head) tugs at his clean white tie, shouting for the floor, screaming for order. He is firmly ignored."
Another segment from "The Gay Militants" about radicals brekaing up the 1970 NACHO conference "Then, under black and red flags, the GLF (Gay Liberation Front) marched in shouting, and drove out most delegates..." They continued to act in the face of threats to call the police.
This included literal clashes. When Mattachine NY (the ones behind that sign) held meetings to try to co-opt these movements, they were angrily shouted down.
A key moment came in 1970 when the suits tried to bar more radical orgs from a major conference. The radicals stormed it and shut it down...
Overwhelmingly, the homophile movement groups in the late '60s (the suits of their day) did not see Stonewall as an opportunity for collaboration. As the sign above showed they tried to shut it down immediately and afterwards.
Queer and trans rage, and more radical organizing, countered that...
A sign from the NY Mattachine society trying to deter the Stonewall Riots by demanding queer and trans people "maintain peaceful and quiet conduct."
The myth is circulating again that it was more radical otg activists and assimilationist gays ("boots and suits") teaming up that was responsible for queer communities' gains late '60s on.
The history doesn't back this up. What actually happened is more revealing. π§΅
Let's start with Stonewall...
Straight up nazi shit "the enlightened western conqueror to bring democracy to the savage natives" type post
nakedly racist and posted that with *pride* even
Whenever I think some people say "this is the most peaceful era in human history," I can't help but think-
"At best, it's an unjust peace, bought with the blood and suffering of others."
Wait, what's this totally irrelevant screenshot of Patlabor 2 doing here-?!
ok youre just super fucking racist jesus
21.11.2025 14:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0i'm not trying to shame you into being an altruistic do-gooder here. a bunch of *rational and humane* self-interest will probably be enough.
give people a life that's better than sleeping in the park and they won't sleep in the park.
ultimately part of the upset here is realizing that homeless people are your underclass neighbors who can't be "priced out," that you're somehow stuck with them despite all that rent-raising gentrification that happened
21.11.2025 14:23 β π 51 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0yeah doomerism is like "well were all fucked and nothing can be done" i am just looking at where things are at and laying out what i think needs to be done going forward.
21.11.2025 13:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I appreciate you for understanding. I don't even see this as panicking just a basic assessment of where the lines have been drawn.
21.11.2025 13:36 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The ruling classes live in an anarchist paradise, they have no borders stopping them, they can collectively use their resources and network to change things, their needs are met. If you ask for anarchist life too they either say its not possible or they kill you because they hoard it for themselves
21.11.2025 13:23 β π 34 π 13 π¬ 0 π 0This isn't doomer posting. It is an accurate statement of where things are at. I do think we can win and overthrow this regime, but it will not be through waiting for one of these rich buffoons to do the right thing.
21.11.2025 13:22 β π 12 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0"We can bully them into behaving" no longer seems to work. They do not care. We call and they stop taking calls. Every member of the ruling class has invested fully into the fascist project and needs to be treated as an enemy.
