Like, Rocksmith's mono-to-polyphonic pitch-tracking was remarkable for its time, but it's limited in what it can do. A hexaphonic pickup could track not just the chord you're playing but the exact voicing you're using

Analogue triggering makes sense. Pitch tracking would be fragile in a device like this, at the cost it was produced, for the time it was sold

Do you have any way to get MIDI out of it in a generic way? I'd love to see someone reverse-engineer one of these things

Senate Speech of Senator Julie Miville-Dechêne explaining Bill S-209: Any organization that, for commercial purposes, makes available pornographic material on the Internet to a young person is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction and is liable, (a) for a first offence, to a fine of not more than $250,000 . . . . In practice, however, it’s unlikely that such a fine would be imposed, as most porn sites are based outside of Canada. For this reason, Bill S-209 also spells out an administrative process. A designated body would be able to request the federal court to order the blocking of non-compliant sites in Canada. This procedure would only be applied after a notice has been issued, and a 20-day period has passed. This means that non-compliant pornographic sites could be blocked even if they are based abroad.

So Canadian Bill S-209 proposes stricter age-verification mechanisms. It justifies this by claiming that pornography addiction, which is not a diagnosis recognized by psychologists and sexist beliefs about women, are caused by porn.
