I learnt so much from both the clinical and patient perspective. Thanks to both of them. β

Ebb Tide rose - purple
The highlight of May for me each year is the blooming of my favourite rose, Ebb Tide.
Though purple is usually my least chosen colour in flowers, this one is a gorgeous smoky shade of it. And the smell is just sublime... π

We don't have all the answers when it comes to cracking the mysteries of #IBD, but we should never forget the privilege of modern medicine.
I'm keeping this front of mind today on #InternationalWomensDay in remembering our bygone IBD sisters who had fewer treatment options than us. To their memory.
I - like many others - cannot believe what we are seeing and hearing at the moment. Sending you love and heartfelt support.

It's hard to imagine being at peak performance, I agree.
03.02.2025 22:36 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Seems like there's a disproportionately high number of sports people who end up with #IBD.
Possibly my imagination, but it certainly feels that way...
www.bbc.com/sport/articl...
Offering #IBD patients a place of psychological safety in clinic is one of the most critical things their doctor can do. Preferably early on.
Everything else that might benefit a patient - from tests to treatments to behavioural changes - should queue up behind this pivotal thing, in my view.
