SARS-CoV-2 induces neutrophil degranulation and differentiation into myeloid-derived suppressor cells associated with severe COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2 drives neutrophils to become immunosuppressive, which impairs T cell proliferation in vitro and is associated with severe COVID-19.

SARS-CoV-2 infection in severe Covid can produce an abnormal phenotype of neutrophils (white blood cells that are first responders during infections and inflammation).
This change in neutrophils functioning is not seen in viral infections like influenza

There’s a big one near me this weekend, Donington historic festival, I used to really enjoy it. It’s a track and they race allsorts from lots of different periods, and there’s a Lancaster bomber due to flyover. It’s only 20 minutes or so away from me so I might get to see the plane. I miss it.
