Saw an early screening of #Hamnet today and I can't think of another movie adaptation that captured the book so well. The tone, the pace, everything was on point, but with smart changes to make it work soar as a movie. I really loved it.

Jurassic World: Rebirth is really fun. Great dinosaur action, some Spielberg winks, and just enough heart to make you not want to see the characters get chomped. It's as fine a sequel to Jurassic Park as you're ever going to get.

I've never seen City on Fire so I'm holding out for that 4K. Very excited.

Crystal Skull, for me. Spielberg at his most paint-by-numbers. Even other bad ones like Hook have an energy to them, like he was at least interested in making it.

I feel like George Lucas would love Andor so much.

I've always felt a lot of it has to do with all of the dead air in the scenes. It's like all of the characters are just waiting for their turn to talk instead of having conversations. It's more prevalent in II and III. A combo of Lucas's directing of actors and everything being green screen.

Well I'm gonna be broke as hell this summer because I'm buying all of these.

I love that whole bit at the end, Cruise frantically trying to prepare her, him being essentially dead while she fights off the bad guys, the look on Crudup's face when he gets shot. It's a great sequence.

It's honestly my most anticipated movie of the year along with Mission Impossible, and I plan on seeing it in IMAX Saturday and probably at least one more time.

I just picked this up on vinyl for $5 at a used shop! I was so excited.

The Vader stuff, especially the hallway at the end, is super cool in a vacuum but doesn't belong in that movie.

I wish it had one more action scene in the middle somewhere. For some reason it just always feels like it's short a beat. Still a great flick!

I saw Fury Road at the cinema a few weeks ago and the dead silence of the full theater after the sandstorm coupled with at least 3 people that hadn't seen it before going "holy shit" just can't be replicated at home.

I just finished Reign of the Empire, it was pretty solid. Definitely a bit of an Andor vibe.

Daredevil: Born Again has mostly been Law & Order: MCU so far and I love it.

I've been rewatching the old Daredevil show and it's making me realize I should stop wishing new shows had more episodes. You could shave 3-4 episodes out of every season and it would be better for it.

It's good, especially compared to the recent MCU drivel, but that's just getting carried away.
