Yeah I'd like that too that's what Odin sphere did. But I'm not sure how that would work with storage allocation for games on the PS3 and above.

Time on a older project

Yeah I get. A lot of games would've been improved by having better hardware like ff7. My idea is that creativity and genius come in constrains and if you where not able to implement ideas just apply it to the next project where you will be able to implement them on better hardware instead of wasting

Kind of a simplified and better worded summary on what I'm trying to say on remakes and why I kinda understood the fear about the silent hill 2 remake

Remakes for me kinda only have value as a way to reimagine Ideas or to incorporate concepts they had but couldn't fully execute. I don't think the idea of remakes are bad but what people expect from them,to be the best version of the product instead of a way relook at a piece of art

Disrespects the original vision of the game. Even if you got the the whole team back it wouldn't be the same because they bring new perspectives that they had later in life. All the mistakes and ideas had at that time define what the game is and I personally don't think that can be replicated

Yeah it's a product but it's kinda implied with remakes that it's the definitive version of that product and the old has no value(it's kinda understandable when company's do it because they have to sell a game). Also changes from the original are controversial because people feel like it's-

It's kinda that language that pisses people of. That something is lesser because of it's age instead of trying to engage with the game on it's own terms. It's kinda only video games that get that criticism. Instead of being treated as a form of art it is treated as a replaceable product.
