If the UK ever joins the EU it'd be interesting watching them try to make the Welsh to call their classic dish "Glamorgan non-meat cylinders"

It'll make no difference in reality, Sweden has for years enforced calling oat milk "oat drink" and it's still slapping the dairy industry around

It's just desperation of an industry that just realised it is, rather ironically, on its way to the slaughterhouse

So the ENTIRE pharmacy has to close for lunch because they "can't operate any services without a licensed pharmacist on site" but they can have a machine dispensing prescription drugs with no staff? America is confusing

Let's celebrate them doing just slightly less than the bare minimum for once πŸŽ‰

The US have been involved with 400 regime change attempts in their history

2 (Panama and Grenada) are considered to have increased stability and prosperity in the regions

A 99.5% failure rate is almost incredible, it's like they're trying to fail

Honestly I really enjoy the fact that, for a while, they suspected the neighbour stone it from Italy because he served in Japan during WW2

If things keep going the way they are, I'm honestly starting to believe that we could end up with a Lib Dem majority before the next election. Never seen the 2 main party leaders be so determined to destroy their own parties before

Historically speaking it does end but usually with extreme violence that decimates a generation

Booking cancelled my whole trip and is still withholding $360 (equivalent) of my money because I asked if I could add one more day to my stay. They recognize that as a cancellation and rebooking, and it was a no cancellation room.

Still unsure as to how asking to stay longer is a cancellation.

Obviously all opinion based.

I didn't include Aung San Suu Kyi because I guess it looked like a good idea at the time. In retrospect it was horrific though.

2 worst Peace Prizes

1994: Yasser Arafat. Impact lessened by the fact that it was shared with the Palestinian leaders.

1948: No Suitable Candidate. They chose no one over choosing Gandhi, but no one is still better than someone terrible.

This would take the top spot & risk the award's credibility

The 2 easiest party leader roles that exist are ones who follow an election disaster, and the leader of the opposition. To have both things going for you at once and still be this bad at it is actually impressive in its own way.

And he's still with her because...?

Your whole point is nonsense. You don't stay with someone for 40 years to try and get out of 2 months in prison.

What exactly do you presume he was "using her" for?

It's a pretty simple story, he loves his wife but also loves his country & wanted to support people he saw as its saviours. Didn't want to drag her into the conflict so didn't tell her.

Perhaps he entered a 40 year relationship to get bail money.

Saying something works in the long term does not mean that it does not work in the short term. Those things are not mutually exclusive.

Not true due to FA rule 23.6 which states that if Liverpool are drawing at 90 minutes, the ref shall give endless injury time until they've lucked into a last second winner

Nothing that is harsh, brutal or aggressive really works. Fear is not a motivator to act in the "right" way, just a motivator to find a way to hide the "wrong" way.

It sounds like it'll work to someone thinking on an emotional level though, and that's all that matters to Labour.

Humane border controls work in the long term but, from a 1 dimensional analysis sound illogical.

Anything that sounds illogical is impossible to promote in the news cycle without angry gammons.

Starmer is afraid of angry gammons because he thinks that they'll vote for him if he makes them happy.

Airlines have nearly unlimited money, "lack of supply" simply doesn't exist for them. If they want it to be supplied, it will be supplied. They just have to be willing to pay the bill.

That greed-propelled inflation is gradually sucking more and more joy out of our lives in service of the elite's bottom line. Gotta keep that conversation going until the government listens to the people, which means it's gonna need to keep going for a long time

Not the point of the article at all but I've never seen the name Benjamina before, never even considered that Benjamin has a feminine form. It's a really lovely name, I wonder what the short forms are. Mina? Benja?

A lot of Amazon promo the past few days, got a paid partnership did you?

In any case, "add to delivery" has always been a scam, it's just a cover for extending processing time & making deliveries take longer
