This is very good, a new Radio 4 series in which Stewart Lee examines the post-war history of the counterculture. Guests in episode 1 include Joe Boyd, Shirley Collins and Brian Eno.

I loved this show as a kid, as did my brother. Lots of thrilling Mirage and Mystère footage even if the plots were utterly baffling to us.

Once saw Nick Haywood perform to about 200 people at Newcastle's first and only rock festival ON THE TOWN MOOR. What a pro, he was marvellous despite the clearly humiliating circumstances. #totp
