Got new wood and new knives. Did a test to feel them out. I was shocked at the difference the right tools make. Was originally gonna use this as part of my final design but it didn’t feel quite right so I went back to the drawing board

The figures are supposed to be a bear and a cat kissing btw. I did about as good as I could given I was carving pine with a bunch of shitty michaels knives that I’d never used before

I also think HHP-style building templates would be amazing. Brewster tasks you with building a cafe and you get to decide what the cafe looks like. This way everyone can have the same buildings but still have a completely unique experience in each

I think this would also contribute a LOT to the town builder aspect they seem to be angling towards. Having only two shops means a lot of Citycore designs have to make a lot of fake buildings. Add more options just to flesh out the town!

You start with the options like having the post card stand in the airport, but you get the option to build a Post Office if you want. This way you CAN do it the simple way but there’s also the option of adding a new building for the charm of it

People talk a lot about how New Horizons streamlines a lot of Animal Crossing feature but in doing so removes a lot of shops + NPCs (e.g. changing hair in a vanity instead of Shampoodle). I feel like the best solution in future games would be to offer both
