I write code and stuff

09.12.2025 06:03 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I think theyโd serve more as a โthis is the kind of thing that can be doneโ rather than โhereโs how itโs doneโ example. Plus all the worldโs docs of course. Just knowing something is actually possible is an incredible motivator.
09.12.2025 05:11 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Presuming you are sending it back to be ripped apart & studied by the best scientific minds of the day, send several MBPs full of documentation, phones (which yeah thereโs no network but the modem / touch screen / mems chips etc +bluetooth would blow scientists away) & of course a few smart watches.
09.12.2025 04:41 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0I donโt agree with 100% of it but thereโs meat on the bones of his argument worth chewing.
We are hiring plenty of junior and senior devs but very few mid level. Not entirely sure what happens to the juniors as they progress. Time will tell I guess.
My focus remains eliminating managers not devs.
Zork is open source now?!

Next step get GPT to rewrite it in typescript so itโs playable in a browser.
20.11.2025 20:44 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Love Octavia Butlerโs books.
10.10.2025 10:47 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Thereโs some interesting nuggets there, strewn amongst the straw men, hyperbole, and plain old hysteria. But yes; replacing managers has been my goal since the 1990s when I started down this road.
The core skill people need when using an LLM to write for them is critical thinking. Alas itโs rare.
I was hoping it would be โI know you are but what am Iโ but thatโs eight words.
06.10.2025 02:18 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Me holding my newly purchased copy of the LP โX Live at the Whisky A Go-Go on the Fabulous Sunset Stripโ. The cover is a collage of colourful hand drawn faces.
My vinyl collection has re-started. Iโve been looking for this album for years. โX: Live at the Whisky A Go-Go on the Fabulous Sunset Stripโ is one of the greatest live albums of all time. And now I finally have my own copy. Now I just need a turntable, amp, and speakers. #babysteps #80s #punkrock
02.10.2025 08:04 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Itโs happening again. Time to give up on #llamagrama I think. Too unreliable.

Loving Llamagrama but not loving its general unreliability.

That was fun. I pressed the letter button first because I didnโt know what I was doing and then again by accident twice because Iโm clumsy haha. Iโll do better tomorrow. Thanks for sharing this Jo. Itโs fun.
BREAKING from us at #4Corners: Former Morrison govt Health Minister Greg Hunt working for a Brethren company which received $54 million in COVID-19 contracts from Health Department while he was Minister. Mr Hunt says decisions made by his department, not him. #auspol www.abc.net.au/news/2025-09...

Back in the โBerra. Great to go on a frosty morning hike with a friend and his dogs. Red Hill is looking fresh! #canberra

I spent quite some time watching people struggle up and down this ridiculous ladder.
11.09.2025 20:47 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Government secrecy and obfuscation was one of the key reasons we chucked out Morrison and his putrid pals. What the hell is the former Minister for Gambling doing now?

Horrific footage circulating of the National Socialist Network attacking the peaceful Camp Sovereignty in Melbourne. We've heard the main targets of their extreme violence were women.
