I try to have a roadmap.
What features do I want, in what order?
What milestones or KPIs do I want to hit before doing x, y, or z?
But I treat it like a map. It's a tool I can use to navigate, but I can be adaptable and chart new courses as I experience more of the terrain by traveling it.
Tell me more about your context issues?
I'm wondering if, because your all of your GPTs developed by OpenAI (4o, 4.5, o3, etc.) share context, if using one of their models vs. a closed model causes more context bleed.
Would help to understand what you're seeing before I get too far into theory!

What did you do to promote it? Where are your signups coming from?
I eat low sugar Skinny Dipped chocolate-covered almonds to stop myself from binging on high sugar chocolate treats. It actually 100% works for me. Tastes like chocolate. Protein for satiation.
I also eat baked chicken thighs and hard-boiled eggs while working. Keeps me fueled and satisfied.

We let our GPT co-founder plan our go-to-market: channels, content, calendar.
Some worked. Some flopped. One got us banned from Reddit. 😅

Build the SaaS with the first client.
Don't build a product you think someone wants, build it together with someone who wants it.
Then find people with the same problem, show them how you solved it for the first person, and expand features if needed.
Discovery -> implementation -> promotion.

Ranked #2 for “startup AI” but didn’t show for “startup tools.” GPT Store search is exact match only — no plurals, no semantics. Rewrote with startup terms (MVP, PRD, GTM, pitch deck) and instantly ranked better.

Yeah. I'm working on evangelism (gtm, networking, investor relations, recruiting) while Mark, Patrick (our shiny new technical co-founder), and Jones (a friend doing front-end work for equity) are taking us from PoC -> MVP.
I'm vlogging it (week 1 down, 1000 more to go...), which is fun for me. 😺

It started as a side project to help his friend validate a game business, but it's turned out to be pretty useful to lots of folks.
It's a marathon, not a sprint. Make sure you get some rest, play, movement, and nutrition in there to keep you going!
