The Super NES and PS2 were Nintendo’s and Sony’s best consoles. I’m still amazed how good games looked on them. Re-played through Donkey Kong Country last night with Rana and it’s still fun and challenging. And the GRAPHICS. And the MUSIC. David Wise is one of the best videogame composers ever.

To be fair, this was the cd titled “super random mix cause I have no cds home for the weekend” so I’m sure I through it together last minute just for my drive home from college. I usually would try to have more flow in a lot of my other mixes. I might post some of the better ones I find.

I spent my bday yesterday doing a puzzle with friends while snowed in a hotel room in Dayton Ohio. Honestly was a pretty good bday.

Took advantage of the “warm” weather today to take a walk down to the beach before it gets down to singles digit temps again.

Have you listened to Nate’s former band, The Format? I still love Dog Problems, such a good album.

Since they changed the announcer in DDR World, I don’t notice it at all anymore. Previously, only a couple of announcer clips used to bother me though: the sing song-y “we’re dancing, we’re grooving, you know this body’s moving” was AWFUL. Who thought something music-y over music was a good idea.

Spent the day yesterday doing one of my favorite things: board games all day!

1st game - On Mars, a new game to me.
2nd game - Brass: Birmingham
3rd game - Race for the Galaxy

On Mars was definitely complicated, but rewarding. I love my heavy space games. Can’t wait to play it again!
