A different Saturday night for me. No board games but 9 friends got together to do a murder mystery evening party. The party, theme, characters, group etc was 10/10 by the actual “mystery” was less than optimal. Wish we’d got together to play mysterium, awkward guests or the traitors! 😂

Could I ask a random question based just on the description: is there any inspiration or similarities to something like the claim or 3 chapters? They’re the only games I have where you have a phase / round specifically to get the cards you’re then going to use (that isn’t drafting).

It’s taken about 2.5 years but I feel like I may be getting back into the boardgame “hobby”. September was mainly completing the star realms legacy and toying around with toy battle 😊

Underrated- Tactiki by draw lab games. Played 4 times in 2 days. Now… back to toy battle!

Also do your homework about the place you’re interviewing at. Even if none of the research / homework comes out directly in answers… the understanding / Knowledge finds its way subtly into responses. I can tell a mile off when I interview people if they’ve thought about my org. Love it!

People often advice to think of questions / answers. I’ve always been personally led by “what are my gold star examples” and then… when I’ve thought of those.. I then look at questions and think “do any of my examples / case studies” meet those qns. If I spot a gap I then fill it.

I do quite a lot of recruitment. My advice: think of some of your best examples / projects / pieces of work and practise talking about them out loud to yourself. If you feel rehearsed in some of the key things you’re likely to reflect on, it’ll come across naturally
