LSC's position is clear: if DSA does not hold its electeds accountable to DSA's political mission, we will fail to advance our long-term goal of socialism and liberation in the United States and abroad. It's why we introduced our resolution to censure AOC well before her Iron Dome vote.

The goal: a YDSA that's a true bulwark against capital - organized, expanding, and ready to fight for socialism.

Nolan also works to strengthen YDSA's international socialist ties and ensure the org runs transparently, capable of growth and effective resistance.

The vision: a YDSA that organizes all working-class youth - not just college students - and builds power in our communities.

Nolan champions the city/regional chapter model, having helped create Milwaukee's successful city chapter. YDSA must organize beyond campuses.

This moment can sharpen class consciousness, mobilize working-class youth, and boost YDSA's revolutionary potential as the largest socialist youth org in the US.

Nolan's focus: preparing YDSA for the challenges of a potential second Trump term. This means strengthening our capacity to organize and resist.

Our amendment, R35-A: Stipend the NPC, removes non-NPC leadership stipends, creates a $1000 dollar per month stipend for at-Large NPC members, and specifies that only NPC or NCC members may receive leadership stipends, as stipends and convention leadership elections for bodies nominally directed by the NPC or NCC would create dual mandates which undermine the authority of the organizations’ primary elected leadership.

In the interest of good faith debate, LSC members have authored or coauthored amendments to some resolutions which the caucus could not support as written, or which we felt could otherwise be improved.
