In a complex world, maintaining a peaceful mind is a rare form of wisdom.

Yes, the situation is very turbulent right now. I even think World War IV is imminent. I hope you are doing well.

Hi Dream, I tried to send you a message but it didn't work. You can send me a message so we can stay in touch.

I love that arched entrance to a designer bar and grill on Cambridge Trinity Street. I'm glad it has been preserved or rebuilt because it became quite dilapidated years ago. Money does have its uses. Next door was Jaegar, now The Ivy Brasserie. All these flashy and expensive places would have been quite alienating to me coming to Cambridge now instead of simpler times in 1974 when pubs were scruffy and cheap.

A small watercolour drawing of the entrance to HA!HA! on Trinity St, Cambridge (now Strada) with passing figures. This sold at an exhibition I had in King Street in 2000. Doesn't seem long ago to me. See alt text

Drawn in nature in the '60s with no camera, just a dip pen and brush using Rowney Khandahar ink

This is what my drawing was like when I was a 20-yr-old. I still have these and other examples done when living in Portsmouth UK in the late '60s, early '70s, travelling by bus to draw in woods and fields around the Hampshire Downs.
