Saw this out of nowhere while at Jay St. All F trains are ending at Church Av this weekend so maybe the conductor accidentally selected Smith-9 instead? It played all of the automated announcements as well LOL.

This was a rerouted (B) that terminated at 18th Avenue via Culver Express due to urgent track maintenance at Broadway-Lafayette St. ^^

That was actually an R179 believe it or not. It was an actual C train that ended up terminating at Queens Plaza and it couldn’t go further due to CBTC being inactive on it. It came back southbound in service and only a few people got on the train, everyone else looked so confused😭

In all my years of railfanning. This might be the biggest shenanigan I have ever caught.

So I just looked at my footage of the R211 B via West End. They decided to finally turn on the interior signage right as I got off at 62nd…and I didn’t realize until now💀

Lucky you got the interior signage too!! They had it off completely for some reason when I got on at Atlantic. They were making manual announcements too unfortunately

Even more weird, this is the announcement that plays if the destination is set from 2 Av…..

to 2nd avenue no, but interestingly heading back uptown the announcements say “bronx bound B train via the V line” all the way until 34th street and then it changes back to normal announcements
