Also get a 10 minute walk in with the world's cutest doggo. See how I am afterwards. If I'm ok try another one or a longer walk.
Else no real plans as yet.
I'm waiting for a delivery of parts I need to connect my PC to the internet. Then I can do anything with that done.
Online GCSE revision guides?

Off to sleep soon. It's been a quite intense day for the ASD in my skull even if ADHD liked being out and about.
Tomorrow, no BSky on waking.
No, I've something better now.
Simply reading a book. It's been that long since I last tried, I didn't think I could anymore. Seems I can when not distracted.

Smartphone Free Childhood: the unstoppable rise of a culture-shifting campaign With smartphones a near-constant presence in childrenโ€™s lives, one grassroots movement is pushing back โ€“ with remarkable force

Even political junkies like myself are struggling with the horrors in the world right now, all against a backdrop of climate change and the ever present risk of Nuclear Armageddon.
So I feel for children and teens having to grow up in such a world.
Having bad news rammed in their faces can't be good

Digital Brain Fog: How Tech Is Rewiring Your Focus and Mood
YouTube video by Dr. Tracey Marks Digital Brain Fog: How Tech Is Rewiring Your Focus and Mood

Whether anyone likes it or not there is mounting evidence that excessive use of smartphones is causing personality and cognitive changes in grown adults, nevermind vulnerable young minds.
I don't buy they're solely responsible for the woes of the youth but seems they're a significant factor for sure

I actually enjoyed reading a book so much at the hospital and not being on my phone every waking moment, that I think I'll do it more often.
I've still not got my full Discworld collection at my new place yet, but I've got some.
Also some GCSE revision guides to relearn from. Or relearn how to learn

I'm still interested in submitting myself for medical research, if I can find a way.
I think it could be most informative for both myself and medical science.
The absurdity of being semi-functional with ASD, ADHD, Bipolar, possibly Schizo-affective, all slowed down by FMS & possibly CFS/ME as well!๐Ÿคฃ

All I know is the fatigue is the worst for me as seemingly most of us with FMS report.
The pain obviously isn't nice but I've only had a few severe pain flare-ups so far, thankfully.
Then I wonder if indirectly related factors such as social isolation or diet & lifestyle make it noticeably worse too

07.10.2025 18:13 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Could they in fact be the exact same thing with the same as yet unknown root causes presenting with different symptoms due to individual differences with other comorbidities, genetics, RNA changes? IDK. Interesting for professionals to ponder maybe?
I wish I knew enough to get involved in the debate

Thinking about Fibromyalgia and CFS/ME. Seems FMS research is far ahead of CFS/ME research.
I'm wondering how many people actually have both going on.
If I'm one of them.
Someone with FMS I spoke to was able to hike mountains.
That's impossible for me right now.
Another works as a carer. Heavy work.

I assume they've got nothing worthwhile to say or they're getting ready for being up to no good such as begging for money or the various types of scams people try.

So it'll probably be a week or two or longer, before I have the joy of that much energy again.
In future if I ever feel as Hyperactive as is possible while having Fibromyalgia & maybe CFS/ME in the mix, I'll go for a walk.
Better to risk post-exertional malaise than guarantee misery by drinking beer

I know I was happier and more functional before drinking on Sunday. I had so much more energy that I thought I couldn't cope!
So yes the first couple drinks seemed to help calm down my triple deck NeuroSPICY mashup at first, but led to having too much.
Alcohol is not my friend. I'm better without it

07.10.2025 17:02 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I never did say yesterday. I drank yesterday and I was too ashamed to announce it publicly. I did tell those I inbox though.
So day 1 no alcohol begins and continues again.
I've been told if I try drinking on these two different antibiotics, that I'll be violently vomiting all day.
I'm not that daft

Yes. Meanwhile I've heard off an American that even with their supposedly superior system, they've been waiting a YEAR to be seen.
It's absolutely nonsensical over there with needless unnecessary insurance middlemen getting paid to exist and deny people healthcare.
I hope America will learn one day!

Believe me we're lucky! I did bowel cancer screening - was picked up as having a potential problem - which was real! Treated and now being monitored. Gone untreated the consequences were very unpleasant.

Thank you NHS!!!

All in all we're lucky to have the NHS, more than people realise even if it's not at it's best itself just yet.
I got diagnosis and treatment the same day despite not being registered at a GP or dentist yet in my new area.
This is something unimaginable in many countries around the world.
Defend it.

Did me good to be forced off my phone frankly. I had to keep it turned off most the time as the battery is knackered & I didn't have my charger with me.
So it was nice to read a book when I was in one of the quieter waiting areas after triage.
Very few were complaining about waiting times, this time

Time to play: NHS review.
I woke up looking like I'd been punched in the face.
I was seen very quickly at a nearly empty walk-in centre. They then referred me to hospital with suspected peri-orbital cellulitis.
Quite a wait at hospital but better than previously.
Dental abscess diagnosed in minutes.

ADHD and Substance Abuse Are people with ADHD at higher risk of alcohol and drug abuse? WebMD examines the link.

Me being me, a rebel without a pause nevermind a cause, I'm unimpressed with the GROUPTHINK complete lack of logic in the medical community when it comes to ADHD.
People don't grow out of ADHD.
If they do, they never had ADHD.
It's a lifelong, different brain structure.
It really is that simple. SMH

What does happen is:
For those Hyperactive and impulsive, it sometimes tails off as we get older.
Yet we're still left a disorganised chaotic omnishambles who struggles to manage our focus & attention appropriately.
It takes me over an hour to watch a 10 minute video at times due to being distracted

The lost girls: โ€˜Chaotic and curious, women with ADHD all have missed red flags that haunt usโ€™ After multiple burnouts, in my early 30s I finally knew why life sometimes felt harder for me. It made perfect sense, so why had no one noticed before?

Then we get onto ADHD being missed because it's the inattentive type rather than Hyperactive.
So boys get missed, girls get completely missed, and due to sexist misogyny causing Diagnostic Overshadowing in worldwide medicine girls being Hyperactive are regarded as just bad, stupid, or bad parents.

I understand. However Labour are the best of the options available and what they're getting done is lost in the noise of social media, a Reform biased BBC and their few flubs.
Seriously. Check this out.
Fuhrage gets free party political broadcasts for an hour and anything Labour achieves is ignored.
