Yup. Haven’t seen a project yet where my deps.compile did not drastically speed up. 50 -> 30 seconds on the project I work on daily.

I would love to see leaders from other language communities also speak out and make it clear that what he is saying is wrong and not accepted. Rubyists need not stand alone.

Took the Stack Overflow developer survey. Gleam gets a solid "want to work with" check. Other than that, the survey made me reflect on how happy I am with my current tech stack, professionally.

So. I think it's important to share news about what's happening. But I'm trying to square that with the other reality that it contributes to doomscrolling.

I think we need to start putting these things into context and talking about what we are learning or what we should take away from it.

Actually, I should back up a bit first.

Any clue how to accomplish this for `dbg` in livebook? I did my Advent in livebook, and never got that sorted.

I’m getting more fluent with NimbleParsec. Feels more satisfying than doing another Regex.

And trying to do more literate programming in LiveBook. Leaving mistakes in, to document when I took a wrong turn solving the puzzle.

I got stuck with some sort of completionist obsession, like I need to do every damned side quest, page through every little book for lore in Morrowind. Games became some big commitment.

Lars Wikman - Iterate fast on hardware with Nerves

I spoke at Oredev trying to explain and introduce Nerves to a general audience.
If you've been looking for something to show people that should be interested in Nerves for doing cool stuff with hardware and Elixir I'd love if you share it.
