A close-up of a quilted fabric with an intricate quilted floral pattern. The color palette is dominated by shades of blue and green, creating a textured and visually rich surface. The quilting pattern features a central floral motif with stylized petals or leaves radiating outwards in a symmetrical arrangement. The background fabric appears to have a subtle geometric or mosaic-like pattern, adding depth and complexity to the design.

The image shows a close-up of a quilted fabric, featuring a central floral or abstract design with intricate stitching. The design consists of three main sections radiating from a central point, each with a different pattern within its outlined shape. The stitching is done in a dark thread, contrasting with the light yellow colored fabric.
Day 55, recycled a previous practice block by filling in some negative space. I should probably prep some blocks because it's so much easier to get going when I don't have to cut anything.

I think it's time, I never make anything I like in 15 minutes, but 15 minutes is better than zero π. I barely get warmed up in that time, but if I have a large block of time my results are much better. And, sketching is great for days you can't make it to your machine. Also, thank you!

The image shows a square piece of white fabric with a complex quilted design. The design appears to be a symmetrical pattern, inspired by a floral or geometric motif. It features repeating shapes that resemble feathers or leaves, arranged around a central point. The quilting is done in a gray thread, which contrasts subtly against the white background. The fabric piece is pinned to a larger piece of fabric with a colorful, retro-style pattern of orange, green, and blue shape (Marimekko Albatross).
The image shows six quilt blocks, each featuring a diagonal teal stripe across a patchwork of various patterned fabrics. The blocks are arranged on a forest green fleece background. Each block has a unique arrangement of fabrics, showcasing a variety of colors and patterns, including floral, geometric, and abstract designs. The teal stripe provides a consistent element across all the blocks, unifying the disparate patterns
The image shows a black mixed breed long haired dog sitting outdoors, in a garden setting. The dog is wearing a grey harness and leash. It is positioned in front of a bush with bright yellow flowers, maybe forsythia, and some white daffodils are visible nearby. The ground is covered with wood chip mulch. The dog is looking to the left, with its mouth slightly open and black and pink tongue sticking out.
Days 53 and 54 - fmq'd this and another piece that I misplaced in my never ending quest for organization. Put together a few scrap blocks, hung some cabinets and took the dog for a walk.

The cover features a black and white illustration of a woman holding up a checkered cotton bag, likely demonstrating how to repurpose it. The booklet also includes smaller illustrations depicting various sewing projects that can be made using cotton bags, such as aprons, pot holders, and other household items.
It is surrounded by small patchwork squares of feedback material in floral and geometric patterns on a white background.

The image shows a long, rectangular piece of fabric with a detailed, swirling feather design stitched onto it. The design is primarily in black thread on a light gray and off-white swirl patterned background, creating a striking contrast. The feather pattern is intricate, with many small, overlapping curves and lines that give it a textured and dynamic appearance. The fabric appears to be part of a larger quilting project, as evidenced by the pins along the edges, which are likely holding layers of fabric together. The stitching is dense and precise, indicating it was likely done by machine

The image shows a Philadelphia Pavement Patchwork Quilt, characterized by its geometric pattern of squares and diamonds. This type of quilt is made by sewing together small pieces of fabric, often in contrasting colors and patterns, to create a larger design. The quilt in the image features a central diamond shape in yellow and red, surrounded by concentric borders of alternating colors and patterns, including blue, gray, and a mix of red and white polka dots. The overall effect is a visually striking and intricate design, showcasing the craftsmanship and artistry of quilt-making.

The image shows a collection of folded fabric pieces in various colors, neatly arranged on a shelf. The fabric pieces are predominantly solid-colored, ranging from warm tones like orange, brown, and yellow to cooler shades of purple, pink, and blue. The fabric appears to be of different materials and textures, with some pieces looking like felt or wool and others resembling cotton or linen. In the foreground, a stack of bright orange fabric is placed horizontally, with a small, vintage-looking box resting on top of it. The box has an illustration of people on it and the word "Traveler" is visible. The fabric pieces are stacked vertically behind the orange stack, creating a colorful backdrop. The overall composition is well-organized and visually appealing, suggesting a fabric store or a crafter's storage space. The lighting is even and bright, highlighting the colors and textures of the fabrics.
Day 43, I got sidetracked after losing my seam ripper for the tenth time. I am absolute shit at organizing or keeping track of things. So I started folding and ironing fabric. Eventually found my seam ripper ( and two more). No sewing was accomplished.

Bottom-center block: Displays a diagonal arrangement of feather patterns.
Bottom-right block: Shows a meandering, wavy pattern.

The image shows a pair of Gingher G-8 knife edge chrome sewing scissors placed on a piece of fabric with a complex, swirling stitched design. The scissors are positioned on the left side of the frame, lying diagonally with the blades pointing upwards and slightly to the right. The fabric design, occupying the right side and extending partially behind the scissors, features dense, meandering lines in dark thread, creating a textured, almost topographical effect. The fabric is a light, off-white color, providing a neutral backdrop that highlights the contrast of the stitching and the metallic sheen of the scissors. The overall composition suggests a focus on the tools and techniques of textile art, with the scissors serving as a prominent element against the backdrop of the stitched design.
