Only slightly shocked, I guess. It would have taken a truly extraordinary person with the moral code of Fred Rogers to have the fortitude to extract themselves from the Viper pit he’s grown up in.

This world and all of us in it are well and truly on a collision course with catastrophe. I can offer the only consolation worth having: Love, art, music. Let’s enjoy ourselves, because it may be later than we think.
