Which are both true. They both pertain to the world building, both of which, I FELT, were handled badly.

I'm glad you're so pressed to fight for the show. It's good to be passionate.

But you're arguing like a person's opinion is wrong?? I've said I don't like HOW it does things multiple times, that doesn't change the fact that you think it's a perfectly good story.

It's bad, in my opinion.

I think its not well written. Just because it has elements of world building does not mean its done well. Just because it carries through certain plot points does not mean its done well.

You're argument is that because it does these things its good. aka, your opinion.

I'd urge you to actually watch some critical opinions of stuff you like rather than sitting in an echo chamber of glazing.

I like RWBY despite it's flaws, and that's all there is to it. It's simply not a perfect show. Nothing is.

As i watched RWBY it's bad & that's ok.

You think that because it uses basic literary devices, that means its well written. I'm not saying it doesn't, I'm saying it doesn't do that well.

That's the subjective part. You think it does and I think it doesn't. That's opinion.

Sure.

I have my opinion, which won't change. That's it. The show doesn't have to be perfect for you to like it, so you don't have to keep arguing on its behalf to make it seem like it is.

You can put your time into something else now :)

But, it lost a lot of fan interest due to the persistent issues. Myself included.

I'm glad its going with a passionate fanbase. But you will not change my opinion of it being badly written in places.

If you wanna white knight a show with no acknowledgement of the inconsistency in how the story beats happen and the lack of world building except when its convenient, go ahead.

I like the show, its eye candy with cool fights and some sweet character moments.

The ending of season 3 literally ended with Ruby only surviving due to that special power. Then proceeds to not address it in any meaningful way for like 3 more vols.

I just wish they'd have focused on her earned skills, like weapon design etc and not the MacGuffin power giving her plot armour

I know that, but bring the literal driving factor behind the academy, and the reason humanity has been split into small factions, you'd think they go into that aspect a bit more?? Maybe??

It's clear they had a beginning and end for this story, but didn't fully plan the journey from A - B.

That the perceived world can't survive unless this one character completes their journey.

It diminishes the efforts of other characters, as it feels like the plot only moves forward based on the actions of one and not many.

I think their history could have been drip fed through the other volumes, Cause I got absolutely nothing about their creation so until that point.

Maybe I'm dumb, but they were just kinda plot devices up until that point?

That isn't earned. It doesn't feel impactful.

She's such mote interesting character when she makes progress on her own. I hope we get more of that going forward. Vol 9 did a good job!

That technically formed at the same time as the Grimm.

The silver eyes is still a chosen one pathway. The character has no other reason for this burden other then being born into it.

If she just had the burden with no special power, it could have been much more rewarding to watch her journey.

Fair, but tbf a lot of the plot is disjointed. The Grimm as a concept were only fully explained the latest vols. Dust is still a vague 'humans won with this...stuff we made'. Its still not defined what it actually is?? Just nebulous energy that exists

It is a really interesting arc. Definitely not the direction you'd expect, but it's really fun visually.
