Oh.

I'd never heard of aegosexual/aegoromantic but I do think this might be me, thanks for talking about it!

Oh this is a very compelling type of guy, would love to learn more about them!!

Scrolled down a few posts before realizing I *needed* to comment on this: these are absolutely stunning!! The texture, the patterns, the colors; perfection!

Aaah!!! I remember reading along when Starfighter was being updated! It was one of the first nsfw comics I read, and to say it altered my brain chemistry would be an understatement. These designs are awesome!

I have a selfie from last year that is pretty much exactly this (I had a turtleneck instead of a button-up)

J'étais tellement triste quand ils les ont enlevées, j'ai failli en acheter (mais toutes les jaunes et rouges étaient déjà vendues)

Really interesting too how many etymologies (I guess?) are missing from our language. Very basic example, but like why are our swears Like That? ✨No one knows for sure✨

Would be nice to know everything, but it's also fun to do some amateur linguistics and theorize about these gaps

Of course!

And it is, my dad told me about the "bone setter" origin, and to be honest 8-year-old me was very much afraid of the concept of a random man coming into my house to give me chiropractic adjustments, so I do understand the fear

Gorgeous art!! I've wanted to see/draw an interpretation of the bonhomme sept heures for so long, for some reason he was one of the few scary stories that really stuck with me as a kid.

I think it's the specificity of the time + the ambiguity of what he actually does that did it

I'm so glad I found you here! I've always been in awe of the colors and textures in your work, it feels very natural, loose, and at the same time extremely purposeful. It's a delicate balancing act but you always nail it!

But yeah, it is bleak. "No making, only having" encompasses the issue perfectly

I once saw a post by someone who tried AI art because they'd always wanted to be an artist and "it's easier/more accessible with AI", and went "oh. this is nothing".

(I fully agree with the point you're making, but I wanted to share this *tiny* consolation that there are people who do still get it)

The shapes are so good in this!! And the pencil texture adds so much, very neat work!

I do feel like that'd work, best of luck with it all

(I can also delete them if that's not something that can be done on your end, I haven't posted here enough to know the ins & outs)

Apologies for the long text, I recognize I have no actual insight into your situation and this might not be helpful in any way. But still I hope things get better for you (posted under something older so it would be less visible on your profile, feel free to ignore or hide these comments)

while yes you'd like to move so finding a therapist after the move makes sense, you want to talk to a therapist *about* the move, so you need someone local(ish?) for that, since you're unsure where you're moving to. Online therapy could be helpful too, if only because it gives more therapist options

In the spirit of this, I just wanted to say re: your recently posted+deleted stuff that I've found it helpful to come to therapy w/a list of topics I want discussed. Idk how helpful this would be for you/what the therapy scene is like where you are, but maybe it could be a good way of asserting that

Usually in formal settings. I often think of a drawing I saw on Tumblr years ago of a crocodile taking ballet lessons alongside human kids.

*Very* long answer for someone who basically hasn't posted any art here but I've been thinking about this lately :')

2) The delayed gratification from a bit you've been setting up for months is euphoric.

Online/in less joke-oriented art I found I'm drawn to discomfort as a vague theme. It's often to do with otherness/things that don't "fit", so likely something to do with me feeling like an outsider

1) I like people to know I put a *lot* of time and thought into the pieces I give them. Time is one of the most precious ressource and I want them to know implicitly that I it's worth it to me to spend hours/days/months planning a thing to make them smile/laugh, it's a show of love

It varies but my favorite pieces are those that are kind of like a prank. I like to surprise/confuse and amuse people. This works best irl because like any good joke the delivery method is also important, and online spaces give you less ways to play with that. It has two "purposes", afaik:

Ooh they're beautiful! I especially love the cat bird!!

Ooooh!! As soon as I figure out what size I want/can fit on my wall I'll be grabbing the Writhing print, it speaks to me (and lovely animation as always, you have a really captivating style)

(even then though it'll give you psychic damage, I ended up drawing mostly to have something to post, this made for much artistic stagnation)

I used to be one of those (but at ages 17—19): the trick is to only work part time and have your housing and food provided by your parents

Very cool art and very cool caption, it's a neat expansion on why people might approach a kelpie I hadn't thought of before!
