A4. I attended a conference recently that had ambient music playing in the background in a breakout session whilst the workshop lead was speaking...it was a little off-putting tbh - during breaks, yes... #lthechat

A3. This is going back to my language teaching days - I used song lyrics to teach grammar and vocabulary. Students had to listen to the song and identify where the singer used a particular grammatical structure - students often left my class singing it on their way out of the door. #lthechat

A2. I have previously Co-authored a journal article where we used Pulp lyrics in the title. Then we saw people online saying doing this kind of thing is cringe. 🫣🤣 No regrets journals.cilip.org.uk/jil/article/... #LTHEchat

A2. I'm from the Black Country so, with my accent, it's pretty hard to hide...so I embrace that side of my authentic self every day within my professional context. #lthechat

I love 60s and 70s, northern soul - I was the youngest of six and I was brought up listening to northern soul...can't dance to it though, sadly.

A1. For me, it's the chilled, classical music that I tend to use as entrance music...setting the ambiance for the remainder of the session. As a former French teacher, I've been known to have a few French classics playing (e.g., Piaf, Michel Sardou) #lthechat
