For this week's site updates, I'm still adding the low quality games, but I'm not adding the categories.

It doesn't save much time to drop the games altogether, as I still have to go in and check them anyway.

There's a message on those games to say they won't be categorised.

- added a banner to Recent Top Rated to show if the game is Switch 1 or 2
- used this banner to replace the one on the game page so it looks better

I’m considering whether to stop adding the truly blatant shovelware to Switch Scores.

For the last 8 years, I’ve added every single game.

The amount of crap on the shop is getting silly. It takes time to add, and clogs up the site.

I’ve filtered a lot of it from landing pages but then why add it?

I wish Switch 2 game key cards allowed me to load a physical game to my console and not have to keep swapping the cartridges.

I guess it wouldn't work if you could also loan out the game, as you'd have 2 copies. But if you could do the storage part without the load option, that would be sweet.

So many jigsaw games are shovelware. This one is top tier. I was prompted by Digitally Downloaded giving it 5/5.

Believe it’s only on Switch (works fine on Switch 2 btw).

I bought the N64 on launch day. Then the Switch 1 and now the Switch 2, both on launch day. Although I’m currently away so my Switch 2 is with a family member until I get back.

Fair enough! IMO more power was needed but I take your point, it’s not a radical change. I see the additional power opening the door to more powerful games in the future. And when more games are Switch 2 exclusive, the upgrade becomes more worthwhile.
