I’m okay for wingers to lose the ball as long as they are decisive. It’s frustrating when he invites pressure then loses the ball because he’s delayed.

Strikes me with Leon that he is so hesitant to attack his man straight away he delays and allows time for the opposition to get 2 on him. It’s frustrating he doesn’t just go and attack.

He’s looking really sharp. Excited for him.

It does mean just about every member of the squad gets a nearly 90 min run out against quality European opposition a week before the start of the season. Makes a lot of sense to me.

Morning all. Well it’s been an interesting weekend. Had to bail out of Jazz Weekend due to a problem at home. Absolutely gutted 😩 But it’s a first world problem and health and family at home always comes first. On the plus side I’m getting to watch the Villa games I thought I’d be missing.

Yep certainly do. There’s a long line of youth strikers of that ilk Calum Robinson, RHB, Delfounso, Luke Moore …. It’s a tough step up Vassell and Agbonlahor were the big exceptions.

Nah we’ve only played in the same division for a few of 50 odd years I’ve been alive. The rivalry is a bit of an embarrassment really and is the only thing Blues care about. Besides our proper rivalry is with Albion. Blues are probably more Cov or Walsall.

Ideally another attacking option and that right sided defender would be great but I don’t think we’re too far away from the plan now for this season. The question is can we afford the squad on SCR? Don’t know, but with some tidying at the fringes the team is pretty good atm UTV

It’s pointless comparing to then as that was a calculated gamble knowing we had guaranteed income from latter stages of CL and could do a couple of loans.

To me, considering the constraints, then that has advanced the squad although granted we have lost Rashford, Asensio and Disasi from the end of the season.
