this illustration depicts Niko, an undead mercenary, holding up the decapitated head of an unnamed Jackboot, a fictional group akin to the Nazis. with one foot on top of multiple bloodied helmets, and his left hand holding a shovel (which is mostly out of frame), his intent is clear: hate has no place in his world. and it has no place in ours, either. this sort of imagery will, in due time if nothing stops it, jump from the canvas to the city streets. i hope ill never have to see it myself, but i cant deny that it will happen.

nellie, an anthropomorphic opossum, performs some bizarre routine on stage with two masks. it is wearing a vibrant jester outfit, and the masks are that of a samoyed and a praying mantis. who wouldve thought itd be so capable of stealing the show? the background here is my personal highlight, as i actually went thru and made it myself, rather than lazily recoloring an old photograph

im not here, this isnt happening. the ocean, a deep shade of red, takes another willing victim as nellie sinks further into its depths. as it stares directly at the viewer, multiple other sets of eyes do as well, representing the various parts of itself (and the artist that made it).

niko, an antifascist revenant, rises back up from a brief respite, sidearm in hand. the road ahead is unendingly long and soaked in blood, but he will walk it anyways in hopes of a better tomorrow. and thats what we need to do, too, even as the road becomes more and more treacherous to walk with each passing day. we have to keep fighting, if not for ourselves then for our friends who cant.
