It seems like you either have to turn off discord notifications completely or put up with 500 per day.

Please watch out for scammers. It's easy to check if a published author has a social media account via their website. Don't fall for these kinds of trolls. If you haven't even published yet, and a published author is messaging out of the blue, ask questions.
